This is a step-by-step guide showing you how you can create your AskAI AI chatbot and add it to your website in just a few minutes of hands' on setup time.

Step 1 - Add your site (<10 seconds)

To get started enter your business' homepage and click to continue with Google or Sign up with a work email.

Step 2 - Customize your AskAI (<30 seconds)

We'll then start searching your site for all your webpages (including any subdomains), while we do that, you can customize your chat widget (we'll use some magic to try and pre-populate anything we can for you 🪄).

From here you can edit your:

• Company name

• Logo

• Colors

• Welcome message and;

• Tell us which subdomain you want to include (you can add more later)

You'll see everything update as you change them so you know what it'll look like.

Step 3 - Configure your human handover (<30 seconds)

Next, it's time to choose how you want your users to contact your support team (if required), we'll try and find your chat provider automatically, but you can always change it if we made a mistake or remove it entirely if you don't want to use the human handover.

Right now you can choose between the following chat options:

• Intercom

• LiveChat

• Tawk

• Zendesk

• Crisp

• Tidio

• Zoho (SalesIQ)

• Freshchat

• Hubspot

• Email

• Link (e.g. URL to your help docs or a contact form)

(If your live chat provider is missing, contact us here).

Configuring your human handover settings

At this stage you can also decide how visible you want your live chat widget to be - either it can be accessible from the widget menu at all times, or only after the user has already asked a question.

Step 4 - Website crawl (wait ~30-60 mins)

At this point we are probably still finding your website's webpages, we'll email you when this is done.

But in the mean time, you could take it as an opportunity to make sure you get your emails from us by moving your Welcome email to your Primary/Focused inbox (and check it isn't in spam).

Initially we'll add the first 500 webpages from your website. Once you upgrade to a paid plan, we'll add up to 2,000 more webpages.

Step 5 - Try it out (<60 seconds or however long you want!)

Now your AskAI has been built it's time to try it out, ask questions and see what answers it gives.

You can also see what the human handover feature looks like too, just click the "Talk to a person" button.

You can even share this page with your colleagues to see what they think.

Step 6 (last one) - Choose your plan (<30 seconds)

Once you have finished asking questions, click "Add to your website" and from there you can choose your plan.

If you don't choose a paid plan then we'll have to delete your AskAI in 14 days 😢, but, all of our paid plans have a 14-day free trial, so there's no excuse!
